Children’s collections

Children’s books are divided into a number of categories to make selection easier. These include:

• Easies - board books (PE) for toddlers and babies as well as picture books (E) to read to young children or for early readers to read themselves.

• Graded readers (READER) - a variety of series that have graded reading levels for children learning to read.

• Junior fiction - stories for primary school aged children. It contains both new and classic titles and series by popular and emerging authors in both hardback and paperback. This collection is divided into two sections: Junior junior fiction (JJF) for emerging readers aged 6-8 years and Junior fiction (JF) for more confident readers aged approximately 8-14 years.

• CDs - popular stories as well as a variety of music.
