Online for kids
With a Hawkesbury Library Service membership, younger members can use some great online resources.
The Library has the following online tools for children:

Britannica Online
Britannica Library is an online encyclopedia specifically designed to provide accurate information in an age-appropriate format. Articles are available in three levels—Kids, Teens or Adults—and include images, videos, maps, related articles, citations and research tips. There’s even an option to ‘read aloud’.
How to access: Launch Britannica Library and follow the prompts to log in using your Library card number.

BusyThings
Busy Things aims to make learning fun for kids. The animated characters and colourful settings encourage children to play and explore the hundreds of curriculum linked games, activities and downloadable resources. The program is designed for 3-11 year olds to develop skills in problem solving, reasoning, numeracy, communication, language and literacy.
How to access: Go to BusyThings and log in using your Library card and pin number. Available from anywhere and at any time.

Literacy Planet
Literacy Planet is a fun way for children to improve their literacy skills. It has been designed by Australian educators and aligned to the Australian curriculum. The gamified, interactive and engaging content is ideal for independent learning at home.
How to access: Go to Literacy Planet and select Sign Up to create a free account.
Select Hawkesbury Library and enter your Library membership number at Barcode, under parent's details.

Overdrive/Libby
Library members can download eBooks and audiobooks for free.
Titles automatically expire at end of the loan period and do not need to be "returned" – say goodbye to overdue notices!
How to access: Go to Overdrive and log in using your Library card number and PIN or download the Libby app.

Storybox
Storybox Library gets kids excited about reading, inspires their imaginations and lets them have fun with stories, improving their language and literacy skills along the way. Children will love hearing their favourite books read by their favourite Aussie icons, including Noni Hazelhurst, Kate Ritchie and Cal Wilson.
How to access: Go to Storybox Library and log in using your Library card number.
