Road Safety

Council supports the Transport for NSW target of zero fatalities and serious injuries on our roads.

Council has appointed a Road Safety Officer who is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of local road safety programs in our community. Road safety issues are identified through:

• Analysis of local crash data provided by TfNSW
• Consultation with residents, NSW Police, schools and other stakeholders
• Council priorities

The Road Safety Officer delivers projects in collaboration with a range of service partners. All road safety projects and initiatives aim to increase road safety knowledge and promote safe and responsible behavior for all road users in the Hawkesbury.

The Road Safety Officer and road safety projects are delivered in partnership with TfNSW through the Local Government Road Safety Program.
