Description:Hawkesbury City Council is pleased to announce the upcoming Stage 1 & 2 works for the Benson Lane Soccer Field Driveway and Car Park, scheduled from late January to late March 2025 (weather permitting). The works include survey setout, construction of a sealed driveway and unsealed parking lot, a concrete driveway, and a concrete dish drain. During construction, limited parking will be available for club users. This is funded by the Community Local Infrastructure Recovery Package.

Description:The remediations of the bridge embankments and tensile cracking of the approach slab affected by the last two floods are planned to start on the 6th January 2025 and completed by Mid-June 2025 (Weather permitting). In order to maintain public safety the pedestrian bridge will closed during the duration of the remediation works.

Description:The amenities block at Navua Reserve is being replaced as part of the Community Facility Accessibility Project, aimed at improving accessibility across key city venues. This project aligns with Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance public infrastructure, particularly following the March 2022 floods. Navua Reserve, a popular spot for recreation, was heavily impacted by the 2022 floods. The upgrade includes a new anti-vandal toilet building with two unisex ambulant cubicles, one accessible cubicle, and the replacement of a damaged picnic table, with a new connection to the pathway and parking. The project, set to be completed by June, will cause minimal disruption, with existing facilities remaining operational until the new amenities are ready. Work begins on February 14th.

Description:Hawkesbury City Council is pleased to announce that under the NSW Government funding program Yarramundi Reserve (Southern part) has been started. Scope of works include Construction of new concrete walkway, Construction of a section of footbridge/boardwalk, Seating benches, Installation of new Signages, Car park improvement and Riprap works. The project's objective is to rehabilitate the southern part of the reserve, as the Council is committed to continuously improving the quality of Council infrastructure and increasing its recreational facilities and asset life. The reinstatement would ensure a safe parking and walking environment within the reserve, minimise risks, and ensure weather resilient assets.

Description:Riverbank restoration works at Windsor begin Wednesday, 5 February 2025, after flood damage from 2020-2024. Repairs will focus on three eroded sections, including areas along The Terrace and Governor Phillip Park. The project includes installing gabion cages and reinstating the walking path. Funded by the NSW Government and Hawkesbury City Council, the works are set to finish by June 2025. The works will be carried out during weekdays between 7am and 5pm and, Saturdays between 8am and 1pm. Pedestrians and road users are asked to follow all traffic signs, controls and directions.

Description:New playground underway. Works to install the highly-anticipated brand new playground at Jack Gow Reserve in McGraths Hill are now underway. The new playground on Andrew Thompson Drive was designed following community consultation to ensure the space meets the current and ongoing needs of the community. The new playground will include a climbing tower with slides, seated and nest swings, ground-level trampoline, see-saw, spinner and play cubby/charging station – which will front a new riding/walking path. There will also be a picnic table, benches and seating options, bins and landscaping. Shade sails will also be installed, covering the play and seating spaces
