Liveability Projects
Council welcomes the start of the Liveability Project in Windsor!
Works will commence in June 2024 and will be completed in three stages to minimise disruption and impact on the community, with a projected completion date of late 2025, weather permitting.
Stage 1 of the project commences on 24 June 2024 and is anticipated to be completed in the first quarter of 2025, weather permitting. Stages 1A and 2 are in their final planning stages and more details will be communicated at a later date.

Windsor Town Centre Revitalisation Stage 1 - Windsor Train Station (Railway Bridge) to Fitzgerald Street
Section 1 – Windsor Train Station to Hawkesbury Valley Way
24 June to 1 August 2024, weather permitting
- Starts from under the railway bridge
- Tree planting only
- Planting occurs on grass verges
Section 2 – Hawkesbury Valley Way to Windsor Train Station
17 July – 26 August 2024, weather permitting
- Tree planting only
- Planting occurs on grass verges
- Ends under the railway bridge
Section 3 – Hawkesbury Valley Way to Tebbutt Street

Section 4 – Christie Street to Hawkesbury Valley Way

Section 5 – Tebbutt Street to New Street
Section 6 – Suffolk Street to Christie Street
Section 7 – New Street to Fitzgerlad Street

Section 9 – Wombat Crossing in front of Shopping Centre
Section 10 – Wombat Crossing in front of Windsor Public School
