Old Northern Road, Wisemans FerryWork to replace sections of asphalt and repaint road markings between Hawkins Lookout, Wisemans Ferry and 5047 Old Northern Road, Maroota will be carried out from Monday 24 June through to Friday 19 July. Crews will be onsite for up to 11 night shifts of asphalting and 3 night shifts of line marking from Sundays to Thursdays between the hours of 8pm and 5am. Old Northern Road will be closed between Wisemans Ferry Road, Maroota and River Road, Wisemans Ferry for the 11 night shifts of asphalting work. Detours will be in place. Putty Road, MellongTransport for NSW will be carrying out drainage repair work on Putty Road near Howes Swamp Creek, Mellong. This work will take place over two night shifts between Sunday 2 June and Friday 28 June, weather permitting. Working hours will be between 8pm and 5am Sunday to Thursday. No work on Frida, Saturday nights or public holidays. There will be some temporary traffic changes including temporary lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h. Bells Line of RoadTransport for NSW's road maintenance service provider, Ventia, is carrying out pavement and slope repair work to return the road to full capacity. Work will take 16 weeks from 11 March up to 30 June 2024, weather permitting. Work on the northwest slope will be from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 2pm Saturdays. The Bells Line of Road will remain open while the work takes place. Traffic control and reduced speed limit will be in place.
