Hawkesbury City Council has released its Autumn School Holiday Program, with bookings now open for activities at the Library, Museum and Gallery in Windsor.

WRITING WORKSHOP
Tuesdays 15 April
10 – 12 YEARS: 10:30AM – 12PM
13 – 17 YEARS: 2 – 3:30PM

These creative writing workshops, presented by WestWords, will be hosted by local professional writers. They aim to improve your craft in short story and poetry while helping to generate ideas to create an entry for the Living Stories Writing Competition.

Tuesday 22 April, 2 – 3:30PM

Enjoy a fun movie at the Library! Bring your own snacks and drinks. Movie title can be found on Eventbrite, by calling the Library or find out on the day.

LEGO PLAY SPACE
14 – 24 April

You are never too old to create with Lego! Drop into the library and have fun building your own world in a quiet environment. There will be loads of Lego pieces available for builders to produce any creation they desire.

THE ART OF PROTEST

Learn how powerful words can be used to create your very own positive protest sign! Using a range of materials, you will transform meaningful statements into colourful text-based artworks that tell stories.

PAPER MARBLING MASTERPIECES
Wednesday 16 April, 10.30AM-12.30PM

Create a gorgeous, kaleidoscopic landscape inspired by artworks in the gallery and the Hawkesbury’s landscape. We will experiment with materials such as ink and shaving cream to make marbled patterns onto paper and more!
$18 – For ages 5 – 12

COPYCAT LANDSCAPES
Wednesday, 23 April, 10:30AM – 12:30PM

Bring your critical eye to the gallery and get inspired by techniques used by other artists. In this workshop we will learn how to recreate artworks using your own style, all while learning traditional painting and drawing techniques.
