Are you hosting an event in the Hawkesbury region?

Hawkesbury City Council invites event organisers to apply for sponsorship under its annual Event Sponsorship Program. This program is designed to support local events that bring the community together, celebrate our region’s heritage, and promote the growth of our economy.

Examples of events that have been sponsored include the Burralow Bush Run, Hawkesbury NAIDOC Ball, the Hawkesbury Show, Convict 100 Mountain Bike Marathon and St Albans Village Market.

Event sponsorship applications open on Saturday 1 February 2025 and close on Friday 28 February 2025.

Why apply for sponsorship?

Hawkesbury City Council is committed to supporting events that contribute to the vibrancy and success of the community. The sponsorship program aims to help create events that are safe, engaging and well-managed, benefiting participants and the wider Hawkesbury region.

Council is particularly interested in events that:

• Celebrate Hawkesbury’s heritage and cultural traditions
• Highlight the significance of our river and the natural environment
• Enhance local town centres, making them vibrant hubs for both residents and visitors
• Create opportunities for cultural experiences that enrich the lives of the community
• Support and promote tourism, bringing visitors to the region
• Facilitate connections between local businesses, residents, and the broader community.

Whether your event is focused on arts, culture, sports, education, or heritage, we encourage you to apply if it aligns with these themes and contributes to the community’s wellbeing.

How to apply

To apply for sponsorship, visit the Hawkesbury City Council website and submit your event details through the online application portal. Be sure to include information about the event’s goals, expected outcomes, sustainability practises, and how it will benefit the community.

Applications open on 1 February 2025 and close on 28 February 2025.
