Have Your Say on the Richmond Swimming Centre Concept Plans

Following community consultation in 2024 on the proposed upgrade to Richmond Swimming Centre, the revised concept plans are now available for community feedback.

Community feedback from round one of consultation and the development options were presented at the December 2024 Council meeting. After consideration of the report, Council adopted moving forward with Option C for Richmond Swimming Centre. The redeveloped Richmond Swimming Centre, which is an important swimming facility for the community, is proposed to include:

• All-season usage through a brand new indoor and outdoor aquatic space
• Accessibility upgrades to make the pools accessible to less mobile children and adults
• An outdoor interactive, zero-depth splash feature park for young children
• Upgraded bathroom and changeroom facilities, including accessible amenities
• Increased shade throughout the site
• Additional community infrastructure including picnic facilities
• New indoor reception area
• New café with indoor and outdoor dining areas
• Improved water efficiency upgrades to aging plant and equipment
• Provision of off-street parking and bus bays

The survey will remain open until Friday, 28 March 2025.
