Author talk – The Life and Times of Poet Charles Harpur

History and poetry lovers - come to Hawkesbury Central Library on Wednesday 3 July 2024 for a fascinating author talk on the Life and Times of Poet Charles Harpur.

Charles Harpur was the son of Windsor convicts, and the first important poet of Colonial Australia.

Editors of the Letters of Charles Harpur and His Circle, Paul Eggert and Chris Vening, will explain the importance of the correspondence in the understanding of the man and his times, from 6.30pm.
