Tom Aczel resignation

Hawkesbury City Council has received the resignation of Tom Aczel as a Councillor of Hawkesbury City Council, effective immediately.

Tom Aczel was elected to the role of Councillor of Hawkesbury City Council on 3 October 2024. He made an Affirmation of Office at the first Council Meeting of the current term on 15 October 2024.

Council has written to the NSW Electoral Commission advising of the resignation of Tom Aczel and requested the Electoral Commission to commence the Countback Election process for filling the vacant councillor role. A Countback Election relies on votes already cast, preventing the need for a by-election.
