Our biggest ever Light Up Windsor Street Fair – one week to go
24 November 2023
Windsor is set for its biggest ever Light Up Windsor Street Fair in just eight days from now!
Hawkesbury’s festive elves are hard at work putting the finishing touches on a mammoth event program, which for the first time will include the activation of the historic Thompson Square and a bumper 75 market stalls extending along Windsor Mall, George Street and Baker Street.
The yuletide fun runs from 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 2 December and for the first time includes a silent disco in Thompson Square. Rock around the Christmas tree and bop along to your festive favourites in between shopping for stocking stuffers. There will also be snow flurries, Christmas lights, free face painting, roaming and on-stage entertainment and fun family activities.
Our main stage on George Street will provide hours of family entertainment including the best in local music and dance talent.
With stalls offering Christmas decorations, homewares, pet gifts, handmade jewellery and more, plus many of the Windsor Mall shops open for trading, Light Up Windsor will be the perfect opportunity to find Christmas gifts for your loved ones. Local cafes and restaurants will also be open, meaning you’ll also have plenty of options for a bite to eat.
Of course, there will be a very special visit during the evening from Santa and Mrs Claus, and his special festive helpers!
Council’s award-winning ‘Find a Reindeer’ competition is also back for 2023! Find the seven reindeer on the night and deliver your passport to Council’s tent on the night to collect a special prize!
A bonus eighth reindeer – Rudolph – is already hanging out at the Visitor Information Centre at Clarendon, or the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery at Windsor. Collect your passport from either of these locations, get your bonus Rudolph stamp while you’re there and collect the other seven stamps on the night to enter the major prize draw. Rudolph will head back to the North Pole at 4pm on Saturday 2 December, so make sure to visit hm before he leaves.
The Visitor Information Centre is open every day from 9am-4pm, including weekends. The Gallery is open from 10am-4pm weekdays (closed Tuesdays) and 10am-3pm weekends. Passports can also be collected on the night from Council’s tent.
