See you at the Hawkesbury Show!

Hawkesbury ShowCome along to the Hawkesbury City Council display tent at the Hawkesbury Show in the Emergency Services Zone from Friday, 6 May through to Sunday, 8 May 2022 for some fun activities, giveaways and community information. The Council tent will be open from 9am to 5pm every show day and there will even be special gifts for the first 100 mums who enter the tent on Mother’s Day, Sunday, 8 May. Roving entertainment will include a Juggler, Reggie Recycler and Patty Paper.

Displays and activities will be based on the theme Connecting our Hawkesbury!

  • Learn from our Bin Boys as they teach you how to dispose of your waste correctly and make sure you jump on board for the Kids’ Activity Passport to get stamps and collect a prize. Activities will include a colouring in activity and waste education activities about waste. Visitors to the tent can also colour in their own 2022 Hawkesbury Show badge.
  • Meet our friendly Visitor Information Centre staff – hear all about Bilpin’s Apple Pie Trail and why the Hawkesbury is such a great destination for locals and visitors alike.
  • Visitors to the Council tent will be able to collect free native plants grown by the Hawkesbury Bushcare/Hawkesbury Community Nursery volunteers. Other giveaways (limited number available) will include Council’s reusable Tote Bags, Mop Top Pens, Rulers, Mini Wheelie Bins and more.
  • Learn about Sustainability in the Hawkesbury through our Greening our City Community Consultation activity and hear about our Coastal Management Plan Promotion.
  • Find out about the Liveability Project and Council’s local job boards.
  • Get updates about the upcoming Council’s events Savour the Flavour Hawkesbury and Hawkesbury Fest.
  • Community Services and Flood Recovery staff will also be on hand with information for bushfire and flood recovery, connection to Recovery Services and assistance. They will also be identifying Council as the registration point, or point of information in flood or recovery, and as a general connection point for information on general services and assistance in times of need. Red cross and NSW Health will also be in attendance.
  • Cultural Services staff will share information about the Library’s Amplify project, the Hawkesbury Regional Museum’s 11 Stories Project and the Dyarubbin Exhibition at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery.

Come along on Sunday to enjoy the free Mother’s Day activities:

  • First 100 mums into the tent will get a Mother’s Day chocolate
  • A flower wall will be set up where mums can get a photo with their families
  • Three minute massage angels to give mums a relaxing massage from 10am to 1pm.
