Council sets up new local jobs board
21 October 2021
Work local, support local, buy local: Hawkesbury City Council has created a new online platform for local businesses to promote job vacancies and recruit locally.
With the economy opening up again, it’s a great opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the new platform, according to the Mayor of Hawkesbury, Councillor Patrick Conolly.
“The Local Jobs Board has arrived in the Hawkesbury; it’s another example of Council supporting our local employers,” Mayor Conolly said.
“This free Council resource provides a platform for local businesses to promote their local jobs to local people.”
The Local Jobs Board is a central location for businesses to list their current vacancies free of charge on the Council website. If locals are looking for a role, they can easily check out the current vacancies.
Located on the Hawkesbury City Council website, the platform lists current vacancies in the Hawkesbury area. To find out more about a job opening, candidates just need to contact the relevant employer listed in the job description.
“This is a great initiative, with no cost to the business community or job seekers,” Mayor Conolly added.
“Our Local Jobs board is now live on our website, so I encourage you to take a look!”
