Barking Dog Concerns

Other than traffic noise, barking dog complaints are the world's number one noise complaint.

The NSW Companion Animals Act empowers councils to effectively address nuisance barking problems.  Hawkesbury City Council understands that the victims of nuisance barking endure enormous irritation; but experience has shown that remedial training is the only proven way of resolving nuisance dog complaints.

As most nuisance barking occurs when owners are absent, its quite possible that the owner isn't aware of the problem.

Once the online form is completed an acknowledgement letter and 'Barking Dog Diary' will be sent to the complainant to complete and a letter will be sent to the dog owner regarding their barking dog/s
