Christmas/New Year Opening Hours
Recycling Bin Collection this Festive Season
Council will be providing an extra recycling collection over Christmas and the New Year, to help residents with extra recyclables.
If you're located south of the Hawkesbury River (Area 1), along with Yarramundi, Colo, and Colo Heights, your extra collection will take place between 23 and 27 December 2024.
For those living north of the Hawkesbury River (Area 2), including the MacDonald Valley, your extra collection is scheduled for 30 December 2024 to 3 January 2025.
Bin collection days stay the same, even on public holidays!

Waste Collection Services
Garbage and Green Waste Collection
There are no changes to the garbage and garden organics collection services. Standard services will be provided including collections scheduled on public holidays. Garbage enquiries: 4560 4444.
Recycling Bin Collection Council will provide a weekly recycling collection service between Monday, 23 December to Friday, 3 January (to eligible properties paying for a domestic waste service).
This service will be provided on scheduled collection days including public holidays. Bin collection days remain the same even on public holidays.

If you have additional household recycling you can drop it off for free (fees apply for cardboard weighing more than 40kg) at the Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility, Open 7 days a week, excluding public holidays.
