Development Consents, DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

The subject Development Application is subject to Class 1 Legal Proceedings in the Land and Environment Court of NSW.
The application, as amended, is for a Designated Development - Intensive Plant Agriculture - Clearing of Native Vegetation, Construction of a Nutrient Pond, Regrading of the Site for Use as Turf Farm and Construction of Retaining Walls, Drains and Supporting Infrastructure at the above property. The applicant is Optima Planning & Development Pty Ltd.
The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition from 17 July 2024 to 14 August 2024. All plans and details may be inspected between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday at Council's Administration Building, 366 George Street, Windsor or online at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/plan-and-build/current-and-past-applications/da-tracking
Council will receive submissions in writing addressed to the General Manager by mail to Hawkesbury City Council, PO Box 146, WINDSOR NSW 2756, or email council@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au up to close of business on 14 August 2024.
During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0011/23. Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your submission will be tendered in Court and your submission will be considered by the Court when determining the development application.
Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems. Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.
Under Section 10.4(5) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, any person who makes a submission to Council is required to disclose any political donation or gift. Any submission made is to be accompanied by a Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement. This statement is available from Hawkesbury City Council.
If you have any concerns about the proposal, it is suggested that you speak with the assessing officer so that all aspects may be fully discussed. Matters such as privacy, overshadowing and impact on adjoining owners are a normal part of our assessment.

Community input needed on Hawkesbury Oasis upgrades
Hawkesbury Oasis Aquatic and Fitness Centre is undergoing some fantastic upgrades to improve its amenities for the community, and Council wants you to Have Your Say!
Council is inviting Hawkesbury residents to provide feedback on a quick survey at www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au until Thursday, 8 August 2024.
The Hawkesbury Oasis Aquatic and Fitness Centre provides sport, fitness, aquatic and leisure services for the Hawkesbury and surrounding districts. The proposed improvements include:
- Children’s splash park
- New shallow-depth program pool for learn to swim and seniors programs, including accessibility ramp and hydrotherapy programs
- Extended group fitness room
- Climbing wall facility
- Additional school-age amenities for private use during school events
- New covered deck to connect changerooms to the outdoor café
- Touchpads at the end of the main pool
- Extended child-minding areas
- Additional carparking to cater for large events
- Outdoor gym.
The upgrades will be funded through the NSW Government’s Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program. The Program will see $2 billion worth of transformational infrastructure delivered across Western Sydney.
