Richmond Swimming Centre 2022-2023 Summer Season
Richmond Swimming Centre will be open for the 2022-2023 Summer Season in time for the October School holidays on Saturday, 24 September 2022.
With large open spaces, a half size basketball court, shaded toddlers pool and playground, Richmond Swimming Centre a great place to take the family to cool down this Summer.
Learn to Swim lessons and Squad training will again operate after school and on Saturday mornings throughout Term 4, 2022 and Term 1, 2023. January Intensive Sessions will run for all levels during the Summer school holidays in the lead up to School Swimming Carnivals.
The Swimming Pool will again be open until 7pm on weekdays throughout the school term to allow for longer lap swimming times.
The 50m Pool may be closed for events & peak school usage, these closures will be advertised in advance of the event/s through Council’s Facebook page & signage at the pool

Public Exhibition
Draft Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2032
At its meeting on Tuesday, 13 September 2022, Council resolved to place the Draft Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2032 on public exhibition for a period of 40 days, from Monday 26 November 2022 until Friday, 4 November 2022, and seek submissions from interested parties.
Council is committed to protecting and enhancing the built and natural environment for current and future generations and has developed the Draft Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2032 to realise this vision within the context of waste management.
The Draft Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2032 aims to achieve:
* Higher rates of resource recovery with a focus on community waste education;
* Transition to a Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) service;
* Consider innovative and emerging waste technologies; and
* Minimise the environmental impact of waste generation in the Hawkesbury Local Government Area.
The Strategy has a 10-year timeframe and consists of three themes each of which have their own objectives and goals:
* Resource Responsible Citizens
* Generational Legacy
* Environmental Stewardship
Council’s Draft Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy 2032 will be available for view and comment by:

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Demolition of Existing Structures, Earthworks, Remediation Works, Water Storage Facility Dewatering, Construction of Roads and Service Infrastructure Staged Torrens Title subdivision - 91 Torrens Title Lots and 3 Residue Lots at the above property. The applicant is The Trustee for Crown Trust 40. Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.
The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the Water Management Act 2000 and Rural Fires Act 1997 is required. The approval body is the Department of Planning and Environment - Water and Rural Fire Service.
The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period Wednesday, 28 September 2022 to Friday, 28 October 2022.
