Richmond Swimming Centre 2022-2023 Summer Season

Richmond Swimming Centre will be open for the 2022-2023 Summer Season in time for the October School holidays on Saturday, 24 September 2022.

With large open spaces, a half size basketball court, shaded toddlers pool and playground, Richmond Swimming Centre is a great place to take the family to cool down this Summer.

Learn to Swim lessons and Squad training will again operate after school and on Saturday mornings throughout Term 4, 2022 and Term 1, 2023. January Intensive Sessions will run for all levels during the Summer school holidays in the lead up to School Swimming Carnivals.

The Swimming Pool will again be open until 7pm on weekdays throughout the school term to allow for longer lap swimming times.

The 50m Pool may be closed for events & peak school usage, these closures will be advertised in advance of the event/s through Council’s Facebook page & signage at the pool

Proposed Adoption of ‘Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors Policy'

Under the Local Government Act 1993, Council is required to review and adopt its Policy for the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors within 12 months of the commencement of each term of Council. As part of this process, Council is also required to give public notice of the proposed adoption of the Policy for the making of public submissions.

At its meeting on 9 August 2022, Council resolved to place the Draft Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days and seek submissions from interested parties.

Tenders are invited for providing Council’s collection and disposal and/or processing of Recyclables and Organics, and for the collection of Bulky Waste, and will be received up to 3 pm on Tuesday, 25 October 2022.

Council provides recycling, organics, and bulky waste collection services to its community. Council’s waste collection services are delivered to meet community expectations and align with Council’s and the NSW Government’s long-term strategic waste and resource recovery goals.

Tender documents are available at Council’s Administration Building at 366 George Street, Windsor from 13 September 2022 for a non-refundable fee of $100 (including GST) or available free at WSROC e-tendering website at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/

Tenders may only be submitted by the means described in the tender documents and must be received by the closing time. Late tenders will not be accepted.

The canvassing of Councillors will automatically disqualify the applicant from the tender process.

Hawkesbury City Council has received a development application for Demolition of Existing Structures, Earthworks, Construction of Roads, Service Infrastructure and Landscaping - Subdivision of 93 Residential Lots and 1 Super lot over Two-Stages at the above listed properties.

The applicant is The Bathla Group.  Hawkesbury City Council is the consent authority.

The proposed development is defined as integrated development under Section 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 because an approval under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, Water Management Act 2000 and Rural Fire Act 1997 is required. The approval body is the Heritage NSW – Department of Premier and Cabinet, Department of Planning and Environment - Water and the Rural Fire Service.

The development application and supporting information will be on public exhibition for the period 14 September 2022 to 14 October 2022.

During the exhibition period any person may make a submission in writing to Council in relation to the development application, quoting reference DA0213/22.

Where a submission by way of objection is made, the grounds for objection are to be specified in the submission. Should you lodge a submission, your views will be taken into account as part of our assessment and a reply will be forwarded to you when the application is determined.

Please note that confidentiality is not available to objectors. The details of any submissions may be included in a Council report or forwarded to the applicant where it may help to resolve design or operational problems.  Information (including copies of submissions) may also be released in accordance with Council Policy for Access to Information.
